Martial Arts Instructors
Meet the people who teach martial arts to our students. Each of our instructors has been practicing his or her discipline for years, and each have advanced degrees from well-respected lineages. More than simple pedigree, they are each highly effective at not only their martial arts style, but also in their method of teaching.

For more than 30 years, Scott Gordon has been a committed student, competitor, and teacher in traditional martial arts that have earned him the distinguished rank of black belts in both Chinese Kenpo and Wushu styles rooted in Kung Fu. This commitment has afforded him an impressive history of personal distinctions.
- Scott won a bronze medal for the United States at the 6th World Traditional Wushu Championships in Chizhou City, China as part of the 2014 United States Traditional Wushu Team. Scott won a Bronze medal for the United States in the double weapons division by performing a Shaolin double daggers form.
- Scott has a long history of competing in USA regional and national competition circuits, winning Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in forms, weapons, and fighting.
- Scott is an active member of the USAWKF (United States of America Wushu Kung Fu Federation) and the AKA (American Karate Association).
- Scott has been asked to serve as a judge in numerous USA regional and national competitions.
Today, Scott continues to train and improve upon his mastery of the arts. Scott currently studying Wushu and Tai Chi Chuan with Master Qiang Li a former All China Champion and member of the Bejing Professional Wushu Team (same team that produced the famous Martial Artist and action actor Jet Li.).
Our Tai Chi class is taught by the owner, Mrs. Lee, who has trained in martial arts of various styles for over 40 years. Her favorite systems she has experienced are Kyokushin-Kai and Goju Karate, Wing Chun, Kali/Escrima, and of course Tai Chi. She has been running her business here in Oak Forest for the past 20 years after taking over for her brother Jong Yi in the mid-80’s.
Currently Master Lee is teaching privately as public classes are now closed. She is still very involved in the day-to-day operations of the Academy
Danny Cichocki, a.k.a. Danny Lee, has taken over the everyday operations at Lee’s M/A Supply since 1998. He has trained in martial arts privately with his family for as long as he could remember. Whether it is with his uncle Jong Yi and his mother Mrs. Lee, Dan has always been involved in training through most of his life. He currently teaches the Stick and Knife classes daily along with Self Awareness classes for both men and women of all ages.
Dan also assists local Police Departments in Knife and Weapon Awareness.
